St. Martin
As we approached Simpson's Bay we saw Canada 2 and Stars & Stripes racing.   They are retired 12 meter boats from the America's Cup.
We passed through the lift bridge into Simpson's Bay Lagoon.   This is a protected anchorage surrounded by bars, restaurants, and yacht supply stores.   You could spend lots of money here!
The view of Carapan from the top of the mast.   I had to go up to replace the anchor light.
The view from the top of the mast.   Lots of Megayachts.
Emma has a go up the mast.
Ben checks out the view.
St. Martin is very busy and has lots to offer.   We hit the busiest week of the year with the Hieneken Regatta in full swing.   There are hundreds of sailboats competing and lots of events going on.   We would certainly like to come back here for another visit.   We are meeting friends in the British Virgin Islands fro March Break so we have to move on.   It is 80 miles to the BVI and will be our first overnight passage.   We will head off in the evening of March 4th with a full moon and a nice reach.   See you in the BVI!
